Elder LaBass - Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission

Bonjour This week was nuts MLC and 3 Zone conferences in the same week always is different In the zone conferences we talked about obedience and working with members.  Last week when Hix and I did that interview with Pres, This week every missionary saw that video lol. We had exchanges back in Sabana Perdida.  I talked to some people I used to teach over there, there was This one lady that always septiembre in the lessons when I was there but this time she was wide awake and told us right away that she wanted to get baptized lol.   This week My comp and I got the pleasure to meet Brother Glacier.  He is a man who works for the church and basically his job is to train mission presidents and help struggling missions out.  We got to spend some good time with him, and got some good insight! Our friend Winston, who got baptized last week went to the temple this week and we were able to go with him.  Super cool experience but homie was absolutely flabbergast...

Wepa, Transfers this week and we only got 2 full days in our area but we still went to town! Went to the temple! We had a televised interview with President and that was lit We were at a dinner in the mission house and a Senior missionary shared the strongest testimony of the Book of Mormon which was really motivating.  BOM really is the word of God and it has completely changed my life. President shared with us that as he has listenes and clung on to the teachings of Prophets his life has been better.  I can also testify of that promise that all of our Prophets and Apostles are called men of God sent here to guide us to Salvation We were able to baptize Winston and Miguel! They are men with lots of potential as leaders in the church! Miguel is the son and right before the baptismal interview we asked him how he felt and he said he was so grateful to make his first covenant with God and shed a few tears.   Wepa, Killer week Worked hard Played hard I met this guy on an exchange and put him on date 4 week ago and he just got baptized! We had a temple trip this week! One of our progressing friends robbed his grandma and then dipped out of the city and no body knows where he is. He probably won't get baptized next week.  Pray for this man I liked the conference talk "Rays of Light"  If we are doubting our testimony we can look back in our lives and look at the rather smaller moments when God Manifested himself to us. Take away from confrence: Go to the temple Pray for Winston and Miguel so that they get baptized this week! Our mission baptized 185 people in march Deuces, Elder LaBass

  Wepa, This was a really good week Our teaching pool is filled with the most interesting people. From meth heads to atheists who are all preparing to be baptized for the remission of their sins! I loved this week beacuse as we taught these people they have told us that their lives are being changed before their eyes.  It very humbling to be apart of their conversion story and the best part of the mission.  Seeing broken people with addictions and sicknesses being healed by the atoning power of the lord Jesus Christ.  He lives and heals the deepest wounds of our soul.   Our friend Winston before he was found by the missionaries fought a ton with his wife, was in the streets and in bad stuff.  He told us that he always felt like he was missing something in his life.  Until the missionaries knocked on his door and talked about Jesus.  His relationship with his wife and kids has increased a ton.
