Week 86
Wepa,
Crazy week, 3 zone conferences, MLC
And lots of stuff.
Someone told me that I look like the Turtle from Over the Hedge this week
Skateboards
The area president Elder Gavarret came and visited with us in our zone conferences
There was one thing he said that I loved.
He said that when he was a mission president he got to the mission and they were the least baptizing mission in the area. He was determined to change that. 8 months go by nothing changes and he tells the area presidency that he's not good enough. But then he humbled himself before the lord and did it in the way that the Lord told him instead of his way. Then that mission became the highest baptizing mission in the area.
It just goes to show that we have no idea what we are doing and we never will hahaha. All we have to do is have the desire and commitment to humble yourself and do it the Lord's way.
We were able to see some of our families come to church this Sunday and that was lit.
Gave a last minute talk in Sacrament meeting. I talked about Mark 2 and the paralítico. Really love that story beacuse it shows the importance of helping our fellow brethren to come unto Christ and "Carring them" so that they can feel his reediming love and power. At the end of the story Jesus tells the paralítico to pick up his bed and walk. Yall should go give it a read, it's pretty awesome.
At the beginning of this transfer my comp and I decided that we would baptize 20 people in 2 transfers and as we've had the goal in mind and work hard, the Lord has been blessing us and it looks like 20 people will get baptize by then end of next transfer🦾.
I remember asking a experienced missionary a while ago how he had so much success, he told me that he had no idea. He just followed the council in Ether 12 then the Lord carried out the miracles.
19 And there were many whose faith was so exceedingly strong, even before Christ came, who could not be kept from within the veil, but truly saw with their eyes the things which they had beheld with an eye of faith, and they were glad.
First we need to see it with the eye of faith then the Lord provides us with the blessings that we all want.
I look back on my mission and my life and I realize that I couldn't have done anything if it wasn't for the help of God and his miracles.
At this point in my life I not only have a testimony but knowledge that God lives and this is his church. Through the things that I've lived and who I am now, there's no way I can deny any of that. So when you have testimony issues or feel like Mayne you don't have the strongest testimony. Look back at your life and look what God's done and then you recieve not only a stronger testimony but knowledge that he exists.
I love you all and wish you the best
Deuces, Elder LaBass
