Elder LaBass - Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission

Wepa, Crazy week with lots of success! We were able to have MLC with Elder Gavarret this week.  He was showing us how we needed to do missionary work and he compared it to a train, then he asked me what the engine would be.  I said, Jesus? Then he proceeded to make a fool out of me because hats a response that requires no thinking. 3 exchanges this week We were able to share in a zone council and hyped them up with PMG and  I have 20 months as a missionary  We baptized half of the primary🤓 19 friends came to church My comp and I have become Dominicans.   This is my favorite ward I've served in My comp and I have wrestled 3 times this week out of boardem  As a mission we have a goal to baptize 204 people this month and it looks like we gonna get it🦾 Shout out to the big Dawg Elder Driscoll for having a birthday this week🦾 This email has become me randomly writing down my thoughts lol. Wepa, This week we had 4 exchanges and 4 blitzes  I went prosing in my baby area this week, really cool experience. This week Hix and I went and taught a couple that we married and baptized a year ago beacuse they hadn't been going to church.  It was really good to see them and awkward at the same time beacuse they knew that we were there because they hadn't gone to church.  But it was good and we animated them again to reactivate themselves and to arrepiéntete  This month our missions goal to get 204 baptisms is going really good.  By the end of this week we should have 170 if everything goes well then we'll baptize the rest next week.  Hix and I took lots of caffeine one day before pross and had a legendary day We were on a bus and these two drunk  guys were making fun of us because we're under 20 years old.  I love drunk people in the DR.   Speaking of drunk people 2 weeks ago we contacted and old drunk guy and we were about to stop t...

  Wepa, Crazy week, 3 zone conferences, MLC And lots of stuff. Someone told me that I look like the Turtle from Over the Hedge this week Skateboards The area president Elder Gavarret came and visited with us in our zone conferences  There was one thing he said that I loved. He said that when he was a mission president he got to the mission and they were the least baptizing mission in the area.  He was determined to change that.  8 months go by nothing changes and he tells the area presidency that he's not good enough.  But then he humbled himself before the lord and did it in the way that the Lord told him instead of his way.  Then that mission became the highest baptizing mission in the area. It just goes to show that we have no idea what we are doing and we never will hahaha.  All we have to do is have the desire and commitment to humble yourself and do it the Lord's way.   This week we had transfers! This transfer there was some changes in the office.  First off there are now 4 APs in our mission and the other 3 have all been my companions lol. My 2 last companions are companions now and my companion is Elder Hix!  I was companions with Elder Hix exactly a year ago and were running it back🦾 I moved áreas. I'm now in Tres Brazos A.  Which is hands down the best ward in the mission so I'm really exited to see the work that's gonna happen over here! In this ward there are ZLs and now the APs so things are about to start popping off. We got to pick up the new missionaries this transfer and that's always a funny experience. Went to an endowment session with the missionaries that were ending their missions. The endowment was a very good experience and I received the revelation that I needed for the area and myself. Wepa, This week we were going to baptize Emerlin.  She passed her interview and she was so excited to get baptized but then her friend started to put doubts in her head saying that she wasn't ready and stuff then she texted us 10 before the baptism saying that she wasn't ready to get baptized and that sucked oof. Get em next time We had 2 exchanges this week and for one of them I went with Elder Hodson.  He's such a fraternal guy and it was a fun exchange. This week was honestly one of the toughest weeks of my mission. I'm just working on faith through these times and I know that the Lord will help us out and give us miracles.   Deuces, Elder LaBass

  This week was lit! On Tuesday our mission President went on splits with us and if was really inspiring.  It's great to learn from someone with a ton a of experience. We had this odd activity were some church leaders inspired the Latinos to learn English and move to the United States.  At the end of the activity we did this weird dance (video below) I got my license this week🤝 but it doesn't really matter because we broke the car last week and the car shop said that she's dead. While I was getting my license I met some missionaries from the west mission and that was lit. Next week we gonna baptize our friend Emerlin! She is super excited to get baptized and recieve the Holy Ghost and we need yall to pray for her so that she gets baptized this week. Our mission, Santo Domingo East has been the highest baptizing mission in the Caribbean for 6 months and running🤝🦾 The office life has been kicking my butt and I'm so tired all the time but the Lord's carrying me thro...
