Week 65

Lots of good work this week!

Our friend Cassimi will be baptized next week!
Let me tell you about Cassimi

He was a reference from Facebook that we received a month ago.  We had contacted him a bunch of times but had never responded so we dropped him for a bit.  2 weeks ago we were inviting all of our contacts to church for general conference somehow Cassimi  made it on the list and he came to church!

The next day we planned to go by his house and teach him the gospel.  We went by and taught him and he loved listening with us.  He even accepted a baptismal date on the first lesson.  As we go on teaching him throughout the week, we find out that he doesn't have a job because the factory in which he worked has burned down.  At the time he was staying with his friends in an apartment.  He told us later that his friends left the country.  Cassimi was all alone. No job, family nor friends.

He said that for several weeks he didn't know what to do.  But as we shared about the gospel of Jesus Christ he felt a peace in his heart.  He learned about having faith in difficult times.  He learned how a covenant will bless his life and give him major power in his life.  He tells us "I know that with Jesus I will be ok one day".  Cassimi is an excellent example of faith.  I've learned a lot from him about dedication to follow the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We are also teaching a really great couple (70 years old) that will be baptized in the next following weeks.  Every lesson we let them ramble for 15 or 20 talking about their terrible neighbors or whatever.  Then we teach a short good lesson.

We're seeing so many miracles in our area and we only have God to thank.  We're not the best teachers or anything but we try to be 100% obedient and God has been blessing us exponentially!

I know that this is His work and I cannot deny it.  I love my Savior and I know He lives.  Sharing the gospel everyday for the past 15 months has been the greatest blessing in my entire life.
