Pretty lit week,  On Tuesday and Wednesday there was a hurricane in the DR and Pres told us to stay inside for those two days.  Worst two days of my life   🤣Staying inside and doing nothing is literally torture.  I literally went crazy for those two days.  It made me respect the Covid missionaries a lot more because I couldn't Imagine what it was like staying inside all day.  But we 4 missionaries were able to make some funny videos and ads for the church. 2 exchanges and a baptism!  We were going to have 3 baptisms this week but the parents of Angel don't want him to get baptized yet.  Pray for Angel. Our friend Emily got baptized and it was a cool experience! Mark had an awesome week.  He quit his job to go to church.  Literally the biggest example of faith.  Right now he has no form of income and his mom isn't giving him any money.  But he told us " I know that if I follow Jesus, I will be blessed"  I could see th...

   This is gonna be a long one... This week was very busy.. Monday was pretty normal.  Tuesday we had Zone Conference and I got to direct the meeting which was pretty cool.   Wednesday we had Zone Council. My companion and I taught our zone about the things we learned in MLC last week.  After that we had exchanges with La Victoria. I went with Elder Mortensen. Lit exchange, we had fun out there.   Thursday we exchanged back and we had some really long morning lessons.  We didn't get back  until 2pm  (lunch is  from 12-2:30 ). So we only had lunch for 20 minutes until we had to go to work again. Later that night the APs text us and tell us that the President wanted to do MLC AGAIN on Friday.   It was a pretty good MLC.   Muchos milagros We have this friend named Marc.  He's one of our progressing friends and he was set to get baptized  on the 19th of August .  On Friday we went to his house and he gave us some bad news.  When he told his mom that he was going to get baptized in the church, she didn't like that.  She threatened him that she would kick him out of the house and disown him if he got baptized.   While he told us this, a scripture came to mind.  Mosiah 24: 10-15.  10   And it came to pass that so great were their afflictions that they began to cry mightily to God. 11   And Amulon commanded them that they should stop their cries; and he   a put   guards over them to watch them, that whosoever should be found calling upon God should be put to death. 12   And Alma and his people did not raise their voices to the Lord their God, but did pour out their   a hearts   to him; and he did know the   b thoughts ...

  Transfers! We got transfers this week and I'm leaving Villa Juana and I'm going to Sabana perdida to be a Zone Leader! It was really good this week, we had 3 progressing families go to Church in Villa Juana! Basically said bye to all the people I was teaching and a few of the members. Anyways, my new comp is Elder Squires.  He's awesome!  I've been learning so much about how to be a missionary and it's been great!  I'm so excited to baptize a ton with this guy and bring people to Christ!
