Week 29

This week was another great week. We met a new friend named Bosny.  We were just walking down the street and then this Haitian man came up to us and he said, "Hey! you're the missionaries right?"  And then we said yeah we're the missionaries and this guy did not speak any Spanish. We were talking in English. Here in the Dominican there are a lot of Haitians who live here and they don't speak Spanish and they love to talk with Americans.  We just thought that this guy wanted to be a friend and talk in English and that would be it.  So we handed him a pamphlet and our phone number and walked away. Then he sent us a text the next day! Usually when we hand out our phone number, nobody text us back so we were super surprised. We taught him and he even said that he would go to church and he did on Sunday! He had a great time at church and he made tons of new friends and he said he loved it!

This week I've learned a lot  about the importance of the Holy Ghost.  To be in a lesson and to feel the holy testify to a person that what we are saying is true is something indescribable.  I can truly say without a doubt that the Gospel of Christ is true.  It really blesses every one of us in ways that we can't even imagine! The blessings may not be immediate but they are eternal.

This week I have also grown to love the mission a lot more.  It is such a blessing to be in the service of our literal God.  I hope that all of you can feel the joy that comes through living the gospel like I have!

Ways that we can feel the love of God more in our lives are, praying, reading hte scriptures and going to church.  God promises us that these 3 things will bless us, and I can attest to that as well!

Have an amazing week all of you!
