Week 15

 Week 15

This week was another lit week!

This week started out pretty rough because nobody wanted to listen to our message, and I had some personal things going on.  But through sincere prayers and diligently reading in the scriptures I received an answer.

Quick story:
On Tuesday we got a call from Melissa saying that they were at the hospital because she was about to give birth to a really premature baby and she wanted us to give her a blessing of health and comfort.  We ordered an uber and rushed over to the hospital.  We got to the hospital at 3:02 and tried to go meet her.  But the lady at the front desk wouldn't let us in because visiting times ended at 3pm.  We explained our situation but she didn't care so we eventually left the building and ordered an uber to take us home.  At that point I was pretty upset about the situation and just not having it.  I remember standing on the curb waiting for an uber just feeling terrible, I wasn't sure why I felt so bad, but it felt like there was a force on the other side trying to bring me down,  and make me feel like I'm wasting my time in the mission and that I could never do anything right.  And in the midst of all this, a man came up to us and started talking to us.  He was a really cool dude and he told us that he is a returned missionary.  And when he was about to leave he said "serving a mission was the best decision I've ever made" then he left, turned the corner to a street and that was that.  I was kind of baffled because that was just what I needed to hear.  I tried to thank the man for the inspiring message, but when I turned the corner I couldn't see him.  And it was a straight street with no walkways so I was like where is this guy.  Then I got an immediate impression  that, that was an angel.  And I didn't doubt it for one second because there was no other logical explanation for this.

That moment was such a testimony builder for me because I know that there are literally angels on the other side assisting me constantly, and that God is perfectly aware of our situations and he will never leave us.  I testify that we are his children and this is his work.  To any of you who are able to serve missions... do it, because it will be the greatest decision you can make.

My testimony in the atoning power of Jesus Christ is ever growing and I know without a doubt in my heart that he suffered afflictions, betrayal, all manner of suffering, and gave his life for you. So that we may return with him again, to be in a state of never ending happiness and peace.
I testify that God knows us, and he calls us by name, to serve him with all of our heart might mind and strength so that we may become even as he is.
