Elder LaBass - Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission

  Aloha! This week was my last week here at the CCM! It literally feels like I got here yesterday, but it's been a month since I've been here.  I saw my boy Elder Ae this week and that was dope.  I feel ready to get in the field even though my Español needs a lot of work.   I did some research about the Dominican and it turns out that they have a game there called "vitilla" it's like baseball but with a bottle cap.   During this week I've felt my testimony grow tremendously and I am so grateful to be here, and have made the memories that I have.   I would like to invite all of you to read the Book of Mormon.  It doesn't matter where you are in life and the choices you've made.  God has promised all of us that if we read the Book of Mormon daily, we will make better choices, and we will have the ability to overcome addictions of any sort.  If you feel like you are stuck in a hole right now, I understand how you feel.  And I can testify to...

  Week 5 in mtc Hola! This was a very packed week. Being district leader has been very awesome and it has given me the opportunity to connect with missionaries individually, and help them with whatever they are struggling with.  As it says in Mosiah  2:17 .  I am only serving my God when I serve others, and it gives me great joy to help anyone I can. On Monday I was thinking about shaving my head and then Elder Cowan confided  in me that he wanted to shave his head too.  So we got back to the house, whipped out the hair cutting material and shaved our heads.   Every Wednesday the CCM provides us with pizza for dinner.  So me and Elder Cowan decided to have a pizza eating competition.  We agreed that the loser would have to double up on their clothes the next day.  That means 2 ties 2 shirts and 2 pairs of pants.  We both ate 9 slices of pizza then called it a draw because we were both about to throw up jajaja.
