Week 1
First week of home mtc in the books!
Nothing too crazy happened this week mainly because I was in zoom meetings 90 percent of the time, but it's still really fun!
I met my district and they're some of the coolest people I know! 2 of them even play fingerstyle guitar and it has been really fun to relate to them because before the MTC I didn't know anyone who shared the same interests that were my age!
After my first day of both of my zoom calls my Grandpa and I went to innout. At first it felt kinda weird being at innout with a suit and with a name tag, but apparently In Utah they love missionaries lol. I had a few people come up to me and congratulate me and ask where I was going. A lady even offered to pay for my burger which was really awesome, and I was not expecting that! When she was paying for my burger I made a vow to myself to not let that burger go to waste and do my best in the mission field jajaja.
One funny moment that happened to me was on tuesday, I made one of the best ham and turkey sandwiches that has ever come out of my grandparents kitchen, and I was so proud of it jajaja. I set the sandwich right next to my computer. And keep in mind my zoom call had just started, I went to use the bathroom and when I came back, Mac, my grandma's dog was just going to town eating my sandwich and my district saw the whole thing jajaja. I was teased the remainder of the class and it was an interesting moment.
Anyways ive been working really hard to learn spanish and i've memorised, the first vision, the missionary's purpose, the invitation to be baptized, Moroni 10:5, and the little red book called the basic core, all in spanish!
That has been one of the first miracles in my mission life and I owe it all to Jesus Christ! For I know that I couldn't have done that without his help!
