Elder LaBass - Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission

  Wespa We changed the way we contact people this week.  This is our strategy: We asked them if they want to go to church with us Sunday. If they say no,  we thank them for their time and move on.  It's worked pretty well so far.  We'd rather be spending our time with the people who want to get to know Christ.  I  can't be wasting timeout here.  It's too precious and it is going way too fast. On Friday we had a karaoke night with the ward.  We sang Dancing Queen and a bunch of other random songs. I hit a year this week. We went to this Supermall in our area and sat in massage chairs for 45 minutes to celebrate.   We met this guy named Juan.  We met him in the street  while we were contacting.  The first words we asked him were "come to church  this Sunday "  and he said OK.  So we followed him to his house and had a good lesson.  Amen!   I have a year on the mission tomorrow ... amen.   We had Interviews with the new president this week and it was great.  I can feel the love he has for this work and it's very inspiring. 2 exchanges this week,  1. Elder Silva-It was so lit I learned a ton from him and we decided to be pranksters and say goodmorning in the night time to people.  We got a kick out of that cause we're bored missionaries who have lost their sense of humor😅 2.  Elder Densley!  He has the same time as me and he was my ZL in the mtc now he's my ZL in the field!  That was a crazy exchange.  We slapped 8 of our friends on baptismal date and absolutely destroyed it the whole day. An email for 2 weeks. Last week was my Last week with my son Elder Polanco.  I think this has been one of my favorite transfers in the mission with him.  But now he's gone to Paraguay for his original mission. I know he'll do great things out there in la tierra de los parigüayos.   We were going to have a baptism for our friend Johanna but she told us that she's not ready yet.  We tried to help her see that she was ready but... it's ok.  I got my new comp! Elder Hirales He's a great missionary who has a little less time than me.  We had fun this week grinding out the work of the Lord!!  I'm excited for this transfer because I know it'll be a great one! We had zone conference and we met the new mission presidents!  Presidente Chaverri and Hermana Chaverri.  They are seriously some of the coolest people that I know.  Presidente Chaverri gave a powerful talk during his training and the spirit was so strong.   I don't know why...
